Brand
Guidelines

The visual identity, core values, and design system behind MAFIA THE GAME.

The Brand Story

MAFIA THE GAME is not just a social deduction game; it is an immersive psychological thriller brought to life. We plunge players into a high-stakes narrative where trust is a liability and deception is a necessity.

Our aesthetic matches the intensity of our gameplay. It is secretive, raw, and sophisticated—combining the polish of high-end editorial design with the gritty, tactile feel of a classified dossier.

Core Values

  • Deception We embrace the shadows. The brand should feel mysterious and slightly dangerous.
  • Deduction Clarity in the chaos. Our typography is sharp, clean, and highly legible.
  • Immersion Every touchpoint must feel like an artifact from the game itself. No generic elements.

Voice & Tone

Our voice is authoritative, tense, and direct. We do not use playful puns or overly enthusiastic marketing jargon. We speak like a handler briefing a syndicate. We use short, punchy sentences. We build anticipation.

"Trust no one. Deceive everyone. The game has already begun."

Logo System

The MAFIA THE GAME logo is a typographic wordmark built in Inter. It relies on extreme font-weight contrast to communicate the dichotomy of the game: the bold, imposing "MAFIA" juxtaposed with the lighter, vulnerable "THE GAME".

MAFIA THE GAME

Primary Logo (Dark Mode): Used on all primary digital and print assets. White on Void Black.

MAFIA THE GAME

Secondary Logo (Light Mode): Used strictly when dark backgrounds are impossible (e.g., specific print materials).

Color Palette

Our colour palette is aggressively minimalist. We use black and white to create stark contrast, with a single, highly saturated red used sparingly to draw the eye to critical information or actions.

Typography

We use a single typeface family: Inter. By strictly utilizing weight variations and negative letter-spacing, we achieve an editorial, brutalist aesthetic without relying on display fonts.

PRIMARY HEADINGS

Inter Black
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
0123456789 !@#$%^&*()

Used for H1, H2, and major section titles. Must be uppercase with negative tracking (-0.05em).

BODY COPY

Inter Regular
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
0123456789 !@#$%^&*()

Used for all long-form reading, paragraphs, and descriptions. Standard tracking, line-height 1.6.

Visual Motifs

Our UI elements are designed to evoke physical espionage artifacts. We avoid soft drop-shadows and rounded corners in favour of harsh borders and tactile textures.

The
Highlight

The Vox Highlight: Used to emphasize a single critical word in a headline. The red block sits behind the text, aligning with the baseline.

Halftone Texture

The Overlay: A fixed radial-gradient noise pattern applied globally at 15% opacity to give the digital screen a printed, paper-like texture.

CARD UI

The Dossier Card: Content containers mimic playing cards with sharp corners, thick borders, and hard brutalist shadows on hover.

Primary Action

Buttons: Flat, sharp-cornered rectangles. High contrast text on Blood Red backgrounds.
